Navigation Information Session

Saturday January 29th

I hope your summer memories of sailing in the sun are helping to keep you warm and snugly during this freezing cold weather.

If you'd like to take a break from the cold to warm up with friends, talk a little sailing and learn something new, come and join us for the first winter info session on "Charting" followed by a potluck and movie night this Saturday at the Newcastle Town Hall.

The session is FREE and begins at 1 pm on January 29th. It will be held downstairs in the Centennial Room, and have I mentioned, it's FREE!!!

We will work with a provided paper chart to learn and develop our navigation skills. The potluck will start at 5:30 pm, after which we will settle in and watch a great movie.

Things to bring with you:

• Charting instruments i.e. dividers, parallels
• Contribution to the pot luck
• Personal cutlery, plates, and cups

As part of our time together on January 29 the ladies will talk together about how our 2011 ladies only sailing program should be designed to improve our sailing skills. Please bring your ideas!
